The Porter

The porter tipped
His hat towards the passenger.
The porter tipped
His hat towards the lady, gripped
Her bags over the barrier
But as she was a traveler
The porter tipped.

    The poem is rather pedestrian until the final couplet, at which point it elicited a quiet chuckle and a comment from me. Well played,sir.
