May 9th, 2013 - Purple Plant

My sister is allergic

to the purple plant that grows on the side of the house.

I don’t think that I am as well

but when I approach,

breathe in the thick perfume,

my head hurts and I can’t think

quite as clearly until I’m out of its sight

and myself again.
