It's More Than Idle Dreaming

It's more than idle dreaming every time
I look upon the face of Artemis
She floats and falls and twirls, horizon bound
And winking, with celestial sighs she glows
Away from me and tenderly touches
The cooling earth. Her hands caress the world
But she is distanced - and too far away.

If I should have the pleasure to observe
This natural figure, even a glimpse,
I gladly would be torn apart to view
The true beauty - to be consumed by thoughts
That boil 'til they burst atop a long
And lonely mountain spur some world remote.
